Nell is a Philadelphia-based theater director and creator. Since 2010, she has created four full-scale, original works. Nell was awarded a 2011-2012 Thomas J. Watson Fellowship for independent study and travel in seven countries. She is one of eight participants in the Leadership U: One-on-One program, funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and administered by Theatre Communications Group, a grant intended to develop future leaders in American theater. Upcoming projects include a symphonic theater hybrid set in a time of rapid ecological change, and a community-generated project about caregiving that she will direct in Spring 2018.
